We took really nice family photos this summer that I fully anticipated using as our Christmas cards. What I failed to realize {bing bong} is that babies turn into toddlers really, really, quickly. So our daughter looks totally different now than she did five months ago. Enter Christmas card photo shoot!
Now, I'm not one of those bloggers with a fancy camera. I own the "less cool" version Canon Powershot. It's a great camera, but it doesn't take photos super quick and you have to be super quick to photograph a toddler. And when I say super quick, what I really mean is speed of light quick. They don't sit still for long. Especially when there's so much to explore. Why sit on some dumb bench when you could be playing with dirt and sticks?
To give you an idea of what took place that day, I have some of our photos to share with you...
The funny thing about pictures of your kids is that none of them are ever bad. Somehow the "bad" ones become the ones you remember most over time. They tell a story.
Obviously these didn't make the Christmas card, but I'll keep them forever. One day, when I'm old and grey {wait that's me now}, anyhoo, one day when we're older, we'll pull them out and laugh. What's not to love about that?

She is too cute! I have a hard time getting pictures of my toddler too!
ReplyDeleteI love this Jen!! That second picture of Caroline reminds me very much of you when you were her age! She is adorable. Can't wait to get your Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you pointed out that none of these are "bad," since she is so adorable. Of course, how can she help it, with such a beautiful mommy!! :)
